Reigniting Passion for the Arabic Language

January 01, 1970

Grand Launch

The Arabic language of a 12,000,000 words and vocubalaries from which it can further coined more than 60,000,000 words. How does it come? In each Arabic word, there are movements than can change the meaning of the word into another meaning completely different from the originated or the root of the word. The Arabic language is the language that never vanished or changed long time ago due to the Qur’an, the Holy Book of Islam that preserves the language.

The passion for the Arabic language means to read the culture, poetry and literature and the history as well. The passion is a mechanism of the learner to understand and perceives the knowledge. Therefore, education is one of the expressions about passion. In a very interesting gathering and conference arranged under the pattronage of Al-Futtaim Education Foundation, the passion was one of the major themes of this conference.

The passion for learning, passion for education, passion for the Arabic language, and the passion to be one of those who are dedicating their life for the education and teaching our sons and daughters. There were great speakers who enriched the audience with stories and motivations about passion. I am still remembering Mr. Mustafa Hamawi, Ms. Ismet Mamoon, Dr. Daniel Sobel, Dr. Abdul Chohan and others.

The passion is the motivative power to be brilliant in a field that you are interested in. It gives you the power, it draws your dreams to be truly materialized. Education never to be education without passion. Therefore, building skills and capacities of both the the teachers and the students. Firstly, train and empower the teacher with the capacities in order to be able to teach and to lead as well.

As for the students, give them the power to understand to ask and to learn. Make full one day, where the students can manage their school. Let them encounter the daily life problems and see how they can solve these problems. Problems solvers are not born but they created and built to be solvers.

One of the major issues discussed in this prestigious conference is the inclusion of SEN. In fact, nowadays, in most communities, there are a lot of cases of SEN. They are in need of our interest, they are in need of our sympathy in order to take their hands into the safe bank of the riveer of life. Passion is a also a motivative power to give us patience to help them better in a very tolerant and understandble way. One of the pioneering school in this field was Deira International School DIS exerted streamline efforts in the field of inclusion. The UAE paid a great attention to SEN and drafted laws protecting them and guaranteeing their right in education and learning.”
